Originally from Los Angeles, Jessica has an MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute (AFI), and degrees in Film & Video and English from the University of Michigan.

TV directing credits include episodes of dramas BONES for Fox, COLD CASE and JUDGING AMY for CBS, and ONE TREE HILL for The CW. She will direct the feature film SMALL TOWNS ARE MURDER for producer Fred Roos (Lost in Translation, Apocalypse Now, Godfather), and will also direct an adaptation of Julian Sheppard's Drama Desk award-winning play BUICKS, set to star Christian Slater. She served as 2nd Unit and video director on Dimension Films' HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION.

Jessica directed all 63 episodes of THE BOOTH AT THE END, a psychological thriller starring Xander Berkeley, for Michael Eisner's new media company Vuguru. Originally conceived for the web, it sold to FOX International Channels in a deal that's "the most comprehensive international pickup of a series to date... internet, broadcast TV, mobile and download-to-own rights for all durations." She also directed the popular web series HOUSE POOR from The Office's Mindy Kaling and Lester Lewis, for the launch of StrikeTV, and the 3D project CHOICES for 3Ality Digital.

Her narrative shorts UGLY NAKED PEOPLE and NAIAD: LAS NIÑAS DEL AGUA and documentary RACHEL, NEVADA have screened at 50+ international competitions and won 20 awards, including top prizes at the Producer's Guild of America Student Film Competition, and the Cannes Film Festival. She received a "Mentor Award" and scholarship from Women in Film, and was named a "Top 4 Director" for the 2nd season of HBO's Project Greenlight.

She began her film career while still an undergrad, working extensively as an assistant editor and editor on feature films, before returning to study directing at AFI. She is a member of the Editors Guild, the DGA, and Costco.
